taiwan festival
Tuesday, September 25, 2012 @ 3:43 PM

On Saturday, I went to the Taiwan Festival at Mt Gravatt Showgrounds with Serena. I didn't really know what to expect, but since it was so anticipated I decided to go. Overall, it wasn't too bad, but the weather didn't help - It was way too hot. I'd probably go again if they have one next year though just for the food haha.

It reminded me of those school fetes, except bigger and more lively. There was also the drum event to get into the Guiness World Records for the most drum playing in 3 minutes or something.

Took frequent rests because it was just way too hot to stay down there for long periods of time so usually, me and Serena would go to get food, then come back up to eat. We went to buy food like three times because of me haha. I guess I really like Asian street vendor food but I just never get the chance to eat them in Asia cos dad won't let me ;(.

^ I got so addicted to eating those. I also made Serena let me take photos cos I was bored haha.

Also tried this weird thing with my camera which I wasn't sure whether it would work or not. I knew I needed lights for it to work, but I gave it ago anyway. It turned out .. Odd but somewhat interesting. Who would actually do this though LOL, that's like blacking out 8/9ths of the frame ..

Serena also gave me a ring ~ I knew she loved me haha.

And last photos of the festival.

Decided to eat one last thing before I had to leave for Mum's birthday dinner, so I tried Dippin' Dots for the first time. Got the lemon & lime flavour, and I'm really glad I did cos it tastes like lemon lime bitters ^^.

We met up with Elim after, just before I needed to leave, so they waited with me at the bus stop ^^.
