During schoolies week, I got to stay at the Tangalooma Holiday Resort for two nights and three days with twelve other awesome people. If you remember me saying graduation night was the best day of the year (so far), well this pwned it.

I got up at 5:40 am to eat, get dressed, and pack my final items such as phone, wallet etc. to meet up with six others at Trish's house at 6:15 am. Driving past the ABC Learning Centre really brought back memories of making the music video with Isabel and Simmon back in the term 3 holidays. We got there and packed all of our bags into Trish's 8 seater car until honestly, nothing could fit into the boot anymore. Then, we headed off to the Moreton Island Ferry Port to meet up with the others who met up at Simmon's house.

Me, Alison and Jeffrey were in the back seats cos we were the smallest. There was a time where we nearly scraped into another car on my side and Jeffrey called me and Alison his 'cushions'. So mean.

We got lost and started driving around in circles for about 10 minutes cos the GPS wasn't updated enough and we couldn't get onto the road it would tell us to, but luckily, thanks to Sheenah's pro organising skills, our initial meet up time at 7:30 am was actually an hour ahead of what time we really needed to be there so we were still on schedule. She freaked us out for a sec when we thought we were late.

 

Ashwin, our entertainer. Man, music is really a lovely thing in this world. We found ourselves bonding with randoms by playing and singing music together on the ferry.

I gotta say, most of our pictures were taken on the ferry. I guess cos we were so so excited we wanted to capture every moment. We got lazy after we arrived tho cos we just wanted to relax after a long, LONG walking trip. Quote ET: "I didn't sign up for army camp!" Too bad I didn't take a photo of how far we walked, but honestly, it was at least half an hour in the blazing sun, walking along the beach with sand that makes you feel like you're sinking and getting nowhere, carrying 2 nights and 3 days worth of luggage plus snacks. It was honestly an achievement that we made it there before dying. When I arrived (I was the first one XD), I felt like the first man who landed on the moon. Sort of.

Unfortunately for us, our holiday house was at the top top of the hill. Although we got a ride up there the first time, it meant whenever we were going down to the beach/reception area, we'd need to climb up and down the Great Wall of China (I quote this! XD). We had a lot of memorable quotes at Tangalooma. We could make the next quotable Mean Girls movie ;).

Everyone immediately started choosing their rooms and roommates and I ended up sharing a room with Alison :). (All the junk you see in there is my stuff .. ) But when the time came to actually sleep, we all just snuggled up into the same room cos we wanted to all be together, even if it meant sleeping on the floor. We're so cute LOL.

Our snack table. We carried all of this PLUS our solid food (meat, veg etc.) across one end of the beach to the other. Dylan and Jeff did most of the work and didn't complain one bit.


Man, how organised are we! Alison did this! We didn't really follow it exactly tho cos we all would just end up helping each other :').

I actually felt like we were a big family by the end of the first day. From seeing each and every one of us help each other out while cooking, cleaning, carrying bags to sleeping on floors just to be together. Also got to see what everyone else wore to sleep LOLOL which unfortunately all looked normal so we couldn't make fun of anyone .. Apart from ET! On day 1 of our Tangalooma trip, ET turned gay.

After day 1, we kinda gave up taking photos cos we were having too much fun so there won't be photo spams in the next few posts haha.
