DAY 11
Forgot to mention at the end of day 10 that we went to the hairdressers til like 12 midnight LOL. But since that would be 1~2 am Aus time, it became the next day so I forgot to blog about it but here it is.
For some reason, in China most of the hair dressers are guys. And I'm also pretty sure that in China, no one dyes their hair at home so they were all so fascinated when they found out I ombred my hair pink by myself. They were like "You could become a hairdresser" XDD.
My cousins both got their hair straightened and dyed while I got a treatment since my hair is like dead grass. It really sucked cos everyone who served me only spoke Mando and once they realise you don't understand, they become super surprised. Then it's the whole cycle of finding out you're from overseas again, and then you hear all of them attempt speaking to you in fail Canto and English.
In the morning, we woke up extremelyy early to take a one hour bus from Xintang to Guangzhou :D. We got there and wow, it was so packed! Also, a lot of people bring around empty bags for 'stocking up' so it was pretty hard to walk around. It was 'no photography allowed' but I took a pic before I saw the sign so woops ~
How it looks like when you step out after walking a flight of stairs. I think this was Level 1 or 2 of 7. It's like the whole "get ready to be squished" scenario. Look at that crowd of people o.o
Each level sold a particular style of clothing/for particular ages, for example, older women's clothing or men's clothing, and pretty much all of levels 1-5 were packed. Levels 6 and 7 were European brands/the expensive items so when we got up there, it was so quiet but so much more comfortable to walk around. The prices were really dear though.
Nearly forgot to mention that not only were the items more expensive, the whole level was like a completely different place. It was so much more nicely made and they even had Christmas decorations. Notice that in the photo above it looks like my mum, her friend and my dad have bows on the tops of their heads XD.
We then went to have lunch to get away from the huge crowds of people so we decided to go to the place with Bruce Lee on it LOL. It's called something Kung Fu in English .. For some reason I expected it to sell fried chicken but they actually sell home-made style rice dishes.
Every meal also comes with free soup! But I didn't like it haha. It's so cute how each little dish has its own ceramic bowl and lid to go with it. The rice is put into something that looks like a mini rice cooker pot. So cute!
We then went home and shortly after, went back out to have a huge family dinner. And of course, no huge family dinner would be complete without taking a huge family photo LOL.
I'm linking her arm so weirdly >"<.
