dylan's 18th
Sunday, March 3, 2013 @ 12:18 PM

Dylan held his 18th on Saturday and the weather was not forgiving at all. Pretty much rained nonstop the night before and continued on in the morning and afternoon. The party started at 2 pm and I'd woken up at 12 pm not really wanting to go since it was kind of far to get there and I hadn't gotten ready at all. However, with some convincing, I managed to get off my butt and wash my hair in the afternoon (something I rarely do) and had gotten ready by around 1 pm, which is quite an achievement for me seeing as I had to blowdry my hair too!

The bus I'd thought I had missed by a minute at Carindale had actually arrived 10 minutes late due to the rain, so I was relieved at that. I met up with Steph, Trish and ET at Garden City at 2:30 pm and we bussed it to Woodridge (though ET says technically it's not Woodridge). It was the first time I'd been on a Logan bus and I'm still curious as to why they get 'special' buses. It was leaking though so ..

Although we'd arrived an hour or so late, there were only a few people there. I guess the drinkers decided to come after 6 pm so it was pretty much just the f blockers there plus Dylan's family which was nice.

Mr and Mrs Hardcore ~ LOL.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that we had to walk from the bus stop to where Dylan held the party and it was pouring really hard. Umbrellas were not of much use either and we all pretty much ended up soaked. None of us knew the way except ET so we followed him and he'd step into puddles like every few metres. Everyone had soaked feet by the end of it except me cos I was wearing heels haha! I guess there are some advantages of wearing heels on rainy days then.

Dylan held his party at a small church hall and it really reminded me of the time my sister's boyfriend's (at the time) grandparents 50th anniversary a year or so ago.

We ate at around 5 pm and can I just say the food was so good. I was really hungry too so that made it even better. Also, Dylan's family cooked so much! They even had a whole pig that was being turned and cooked which reminded me of the ones I saw in China.

Sigh* looking at this food again is making me hungry ..

By about 6 pm, everyone just started socialising amongst themselves again so a few of us were gonna take the 6:30 pm bus back to GC. Kaye offered to drop us off there though so thank you so much Kaye and your dad! Me and Trish just ended up taking more pics to kill time and then we all watched Youtube videos on Steph's phone.

Apologies for the bad lighting and quality which you will see in all of the following photos because my camera doesn't handle night time photos well and I dislike how flash makes people look so oily most of the time. Trish also bought a cuff earring the other day which looks really cool! I still want a second piercing though ): I wonder if I'd be allowed.

Our outfits of the day. Military green top and lace shorts - Tough vs Elegant LOL. And man, how different does Trish look aye? Rebel right there! I also just realised that my hair finally appears to be growing! Trish's used to always be so much longer and thicker than mine but she's cut it a few times since so I'm finally catching up. I'm trying to grow out my layers whilst Trish keeps wanting more layers hahaha. And yeah, as you can see, my ombre is slowing fading out again. It really doesn't last long but it depends how often you wash your hair.

I hope the rain goes away soon. I don't want it to accompany me to uni again like it did last week T___T". Makes everyone so depressed.
