Yesterday, I went to a bbq with the group at Southbank and me, ET and Rhys were in charge of getting there earliest to hog the bbq area. Thought I would be the earliest one since my mum works at the city but they actually beat me to it. I underestimated the amount of time needed to walk from QUT Gardens Point to the Southbank bbq area TT\\. Literally walked for 40 minutes+ which felt like forever. It did not seem that far. All these businessmen kept overtaking me but I swear I was power walking just so they wouldn't ..
Had my phone on silent so I got raged at in a text from Rhys. When I finally reached, they were just chilling on the swings anyway. Didn't even dump their bags on the bbq area to show that someone was there = =.
We stayed for about another hour or more until Steph arrived. Then continued waiting for more people to arrive so we could start buying the food. Since there was nothing else to do, I decided to take photos while waiting.
ET, why so feminine? I didn't want a large ET taking up my blog so I duplicated the image, if that made sense.
After Mel arrived, Steph, ET and Rhys then decided to walk back to Coles to get food. I thought it would only take them 40 minutes max because that was how long it took me to walk from there to here, but I did not take into account that I had to double the distance since they were walking to Coles and back, so of course, they took around an hour and a half altogether. Mel was like, "Did they ditch us?!" haha.
Left Mel to guard the bbq area by herself for a moment while I walked over to the sprinkler. I get attracted to water droplets when I have my dslr handy .. Being my clumsy self, I got a bit too excited and stood a lil too close to it, so I ended up getting myself half wet; how embarrassing T_T.
They finally came back after so long and by then, Josh, Supun, Shelley, Dylan and Saif had arrived too. Since Ashwin ditched us last minute, I took over his job and helped to cook. Why does barbecuing meat taste so different from grilling it? LOL.
They decided to play with Dylan's ball afterwards while me, Mel, Steph, Rhys and ET sat and talked. Rhys was extremely weird that day. One of the ibises also flew over to where our food was and grabbed the unopened packet of chips o-o. It flew away with it for about a metre before ET and Rhys scared it off. I wish I got a photo of that.
Rachel's haircut! :D It looks so good on her.
The soccer people left to play pool later on, while the rest of us played Truth or Dare - I really do not like playing that LOL. We only got through like five rounds before we ended it and 3 of those were like ET's turn. Someone dared him to do Gangnam Style which I video'd. Would post it up here but I know the consequences if I do that .. I do not want to be killed by the ET. If anyone wants to see it, I'll show you in real life XD. He hid in the bush to do it since he didn't want randoms to see, so that was even funnier.
ET's other dare which was to try and touch the ibis until one minute was up. Rhys was timing and after one minute, we yelled out, "You have 30 seconds left."
Gotta continue my tradition right? Haha.
We all left at about 2:30 pm so I decided to call my mum to come to Carindale after she finishes work, so she can finally use the massage voucher I got her. I tried yoghurt ice cream at a shop called Treats since I found their system really interesting, and this thing cost $10 .. Never again. Maybe it was silly to fill the container up to the very top, especially when there was only one size container and it was massive .. They calculate price by weight so yeah ..
We decided to eat dinner there and it is actually my first time eating dinner with family at a shopping centre. It's always Sunnybank so it was really nice for a change. Next time we eat out, I must try to convince them to eat food other than Chinese, cos that's all we ever go to = =. I had nachos at a place I forgot the name of and it was really good.
