china haul part i
Sunday, February 10, 2013 @ 10:47 PM

Gonna do my haul post since I haven't been taking any pictures when I go out recently. If you guys don't like hauls or stuff like this, please click away haha :). Part i is mostly gonna be tops, and most of the shorts and other accessories will be in part ii. I left some stuff out that I already showed in my China trip posts so that it wouldn't be repeated here. Enjoy ~ LOL.

I don't think the skulls is really 'me' but I guess I got really excited when this was the first chiffon shirt I saw throughout my whole trip since I went in winter and they didn't have anything like this. The skull buttons are so hard to button and it seems really weird buttoning its head LOL. I found it's easiest to button when you put its chin through first .. How weird does that sound o.o

I bought this from a mall and asked the lady if I could try it on since I saw a change room right behind her but she said no. Pretty sure it's because Chinese people don't want you to try something on and realise it looks bad on yourself so doing it this way would mean a higher chance of you purchasing something. I obviously did exactly that .. But I do like it so it's okay.

Oh gosh, it seems like I have a story for every item of clothing. I actually wanted this shirt for a long time but mum wouldn't let me buy it because it's around the same price as a top in Australia. We went to that shop around three times in 2 weeks, soo even the sales assistant recognised us and knew what top we were looking for everytime. Sigh* embarrassment .. The fur is actually detachable which is the only reason I bought it because I'm not into the fur trend which is crazy right now in China. I really tried to avoid all their trends when buying stuff LOL they go way over the top when something is in.

I had this sudden obsession with tribal (?) inspired prints ever since I was in China. I also realised that all the styles of clothing I bought in China became popular in Australia after I got back so that's convenient haha.

I'm a size M in Asia and XS in Aus .. Why are Asians so small?

The shirt on the right .. Well mum's friend's husband works at a factory that makes authentic Western clothing such as Abercrombie, and they gifted this item (along with a bag full) for our family. We were all choosing items from the bag and I took this and tried it on. It's very baggy but the ribbing on the sleeves and waistline kinda make it appear like it's meant to be a baggy look, but for girls. Turns out it was for my dad LOOL but he didn't love it anyways so he let me keep it.

I like how the-shirt-meant-for-my-dad's neckline fits perfectly when I wear a collared shirt underneath.

The denim shirt was one of the gifted items and I'm so glad I found a circle skirt in maroon in China, it's so expensive in Aus.
