haul | end of season sale
Friday, March 8, 2013 @ 12:30 AM

So many shops have been having sales recently because summer is coming to an end, and since I have such long breaks during uni/I finish uni quite early on some days, I take advantage of that time while school kids are still are school ;). It's so much nicer to shop without rowdy school kids there, and no I am not saying that all school kids are rowdy LOL. Before I start, I'd also like to mention that I added four items into my blogshop which isn't a lot but hey, at least it's still up and running! So click here if you are interested (opens in a new window).

First thing I purchased was this chainmail gold collar necklace. I don't actually know what to wear it with but personally I think collar necklaces look nicest with a strapless dress or a top/dress with a neckline that fits the necklace perfectly.

The second and last piece of jewellery I bought was this vintage inspired collar necklace. It was only $2 so once again, of course I bought it. Cream/white and gold is my favourite colour combination so I have a lot of jewellery and tops like that.

This was on sale for $29.95 but for some reason it was put under the $19.95 area so I took the chance and bought it. Ended up getting charged for $29.95 so I walked back in the store and told them I'd found it elsewhere so I got refunded $10. Then afterwards I saw them quickly moving all the other stock back to its correct place. But moral of the story, don't ever let it go if you get charged more cos chances are they will refund you haha. And if it's a major supermarket they usually give it to you for free since it's their mistake.

I actually don't think I have any plain t-shirts so I bought two for $20. Shorts were $9.95 and it's made from such a comfy material. I almost mistook them for swim shorts (actually, they could still be swim shorts) but ah well. I like the two gold metal beads at the end of the drawstring but it's actually quite heavy.

Bought the second tee in a military green colour. I don't actually know how to style this but it was either this colour or white and since I've been loving military inspired clothing, I picked this colour instead.

A few posts back I said that skulls weren't really 'me' but you will soon see that I purchased so many skull singlets. They were all $5 (except for one which was $10) so they weren't that expensive, especially when compared to original price. Also realised that the singlets were all kinda hidden in the store but was obviously on clearance so maybe a customer sneakily hid it there hoping to go back later. Oops.

I've never had a knit singlet before so they kinda fascinate me haha! But I've seen them everywhere so I'm guessing it's a trend right now. This was only $5. Ahh, the perks of shopping during school hours. There're always so many better finds that you get the priority of seeing first ;).

^ I don't think I would get this if it was $10, so um yeah, guess the price haha.

I've finally remembered to take a photo of the last top I left out all the way back from my China haul. I got this on a rack that had everything for 29 RMB which converts to less than $5. I wish I'd looked through further now and found more stuff but I was scared everyone else would be bored waiting for me so I only took a quick glance. It has the same tribal print I like but instead of being printed on, the pattern is made with holes which is really cool.

My first playsuit (what a weird name). Always wanted one but either didn't like how it looked or was way too expensive. There was a 30% off already reduced items so I got this for really cheap. And can I also say that having the zip at the back is the most inconvenient thing ever. I can't even turn it around, zip it from the front and then turn it back since there're pants attached .. And the belt was not included.

First saw this dress online when it was being advertised as new season stock. Didn't really bother with it but had a look instore anyway when I went. Didn't know it was so hard to actually find one in my size for me to try it on and I think that fact made me want to look for it more .. Ended up finally finding one and it's so comfy too! Unlike other dresses that are really tight in the bodice area, the elastic on this one doesn't hug as tight and I don't think I've ever had a strapless dress like that before. I really like the cutout detail on the skirt. So Victorian looking to me.

These last few makeup items were a gift from China since someonee came back so late (nah that wasn't the reason). I saw one of bubzbeauty's videos and she used this foundation which apparently dries to a powder so you don't have to set it. Unfortunately it's only available in Asia so of course I got someone who was in Asia to get it for me haha. I haven't tried it yet; in fact, I've never used any foundation before but I hope the skin colour is correct. Also got the concealer too which for some reason appears darker than the foundation (I always thought concealers were supposed to be lighter but hopefully it means this one comes off as more natural .. Apparently the lady at the counter had said this concealer colour was meant for this foundation colour.) And the makeup remover sample bottle was a gift.

I've been doing so many hauls lately .. And the reason being because I haven't been taking photos when I'm out. And the reason being because I'm obsessed with Instagram so I've been using my iPhone camera instead and I'm in no way going to take a photo of the same thing twice using first my digital camera and then my phone camera cos that'll look completely silly >"<. So if you wanna stalk me, maybe Instagram is more effective than my blog nowadays haha.
